Mr
K V Krishnaswamy was formerly Deputy
Editor of
The Hindu, a leading national
newspaper.
A
veteran journalist with exposure to both the desk and the
field, for the past decade he has been writing editorials
and articles in The Hindu on international affairs. South
Asia, Middle East and Europe have been his specialisation.
A student of French and Russian history he has an abiding
interest in the interplay of forces in the Central Asian
and South Asian regions. Until recently, he did most of
the editorial writing in The Hindu on issues relating to
NPT and CTBT.
He
has travelled widely with three visits to South America,
including one with the Indian President to Peru and Brazil,
one to South Africa and several visits to Europe, including
one to Finland that took him across the Arctic Circle. He
has the honour of participating in the Salzburg Seminar,
which grouped together journalists and academics from India
and Pakistan for a weeklong interaction.
